The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Stephon L. Smith.
The shooting took place on the 3500 block of Maple Lane.

Medical reports show Smith was pronounced dead at approximately 10:45 p.m.

An autopsy confirmed the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
