On Tuesday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election in February 2023.
The court also dismissed Abubakar Ohere’s All Progressives Congress appeal for lack of merit.
The Tribunal Chairman, Justice K. A. Orjiako, delivered the three-man panel’s unanimous judgment, revealing that Ohere’s results were inflated in nine polling units in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
He also claimed that INEC reduced Natasha’s results in those areas and omitted the results of three other polling units designated for Natasha in the same LGA.
