Chicago police responded to reports of gunfire and a car accident late yesterday evening.
The incident occurred around 10:09 p.m. in the 12100-block of South Harvard Avenue.
First responders arrived to find a black sedan smashed into a tree.
Upon closer inspection, officers discovered two male victims inside the wreckage.
Both men had suffered multiple gunshot wounds before the vehicle left the roadway.
The driver of the sedan was identified as a 20-year-old man.
Paramedics rushed him to Advocate Christ Hospital in critical condition.
Doctors later pronounced the young man dead at the hospital.
