Chicago’s top cop is making national headlines for a firm stance on law and order.

Chief of Police Larry Snelling recently addressed the public regarding interactions between citizens and federal agents, including ICE.

The Chief issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to interfere with federal operations.

He specifically highlighted the extreme dangers of using vehicles to block or “box in” agents.

“If you box them in… plow a vehicle, you’re using deadly force,” the Chief stated.

He warned that such actions give agents the legal right to defend themselves with lethal force.

“And they can use deadly force in response to stop you,” he added.

The Chief emphasized that personal or political feelings do not grant anyone the right to break the law.

🚨 BREAKING: The Chief of Chicago Police is being praised nationwide for the moment he STOOD WITH ICE instead of the Left

“Let me make this CLEAR! Federal agents, ICE, HSI, are officers. They are agents of law enforcement.”

He acknowledged that emotions are running high regarding immigration enforcement.

However, he insisted that a civilized society cannot allow crimes against law enforcement.

“We cannot become a society where we just decide to take everything in our own hands,” he said.

The Chief also clarified the department’s working relationship with federal authorities.

He confirmed that Chicago Police will not interfere with the official duties of federal agents.

His priority remains keeping the public safe and preventing avoidable tragedies.

“We need to keep everyone safe,” the Chief concluded.
