Officers reported that the incident took place on June 11, 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m.
The attack occurred at the CTA station located in the 1900 block of S. Central Park Avenue.

According to a police alert, a 44-year-old female passenger was waiting on the platform when she was approached by an unknown man.
The suspect struck the victim in the back of the head with a closed fist without provocation.

The offender is described by authorities as an African American male.
He was last seen wearing a black zipper hooded jacket and black pants featuring multicolor designs.

The suspect completed his outfit with white gym shoes.
Investigators are currently working to identify the individual involved in this violent encounter.
