The Chicago Police Department is investigating an aggravated battery that occurred on a CTA Blue Line platform in the Loop.
Officers responded to the 0-100 block of North Dearborn Street on June 9, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m.
A 49-year-old male passenger reported that three individuals approached him while he waited on the platform.

The offenders proceeded to punch the victim repeatedly during the unprovoked assault.
Investigators describe the suspects as three Black males estimated to be between 15 and 23 years old.
The suspects reportedly stand between 5’8″ and 5’11” and weigh between 160 and 180 pounds.

Witnesses noted the attackers wore white t-shirts and black jeans during the incident.
One of the suspects was also seen wearing a grey Nike hooded sweatshirt.
Commuters should remain aware of their surroundings at all times while using public transit.
