A 34-year-old woman lost her life Tuesday afternoon in a shooting that has shaken the Little Italy neighborhood.
Shawnquanice Kimbrough was headed to a medical appointment at UI Health when the attack occurred.
The shooting took place at approximately 1:35 p.m. on the third floor of a parking garage.
The garage is located in the 1100 block of South Wood Street.
Authorities say Kimbrough was targeted while inside the parking structure.
