A Friday morning shooting in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood has claimed the life of 35-year-old Pierre White.

Chicago Police officers responded to the scene at the intersection of Cicero Avenue and Ferdinand Street around 11:14 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered White lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and torso.

Emergency responders rushed him to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
Doctors later pronounced him deceased at the hospital.
