Two people were shot Thursday evening in the parking lot of a Chicago Police Department station on the city’s West Side.
The shooting occurred around 6:12 p.m. near West Madison Street and North Waller Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood.
A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were targeted by an unknown shooter.
Both victims were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Officials report that both individuals are currently in fair condition.
The incident took place specifically on the grounds of the 15th District police station.
No arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the station’s perimeter.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
