A 33-year-old man faces attempted murder and hate crime charges following a stabbing on Chicago’s South Side Monday night.
Police arrested Timothy House just before 11:00 p.m. on December 22, 2025.
Officers located House in the 10300 block of South Michigan Avenue, less than 30 minutes after the attack occurred.
According to investigators, House stabbed a 55-year-old man in the 10400 block of South Wabash Avenue.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the assault.
Authorities have charged House with one felony count of first-degree attempted murder, one felony count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and one felony count of a hate crime.
House is scheduled for a detention hearing today, December 24, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California Ave.
Police have not yet released specific details regarding the nature of the hate crime or the motive behind the attack.
