Chicago police have arrested two young men linked to a series of burglaries across the city.
Kavion Davenport, 18, and Eugene Davenport, 19, both residents of the 5400 block of West Melrose Street, now face multiple felony charges following a coordinated effort by the CPD Robbery Task Force.
Officers caught the pair on December 17, 2025, in the West Lawn neighborhood.
Eugene Davenport was taken into custody at 11:39 a.m. on West 69th Place, while Kavion Davenport was arrested about 90 minutes later on West 70th Street.
At the time of the arrest, police found the teens inside a vehicle that had been reported stolen from a 30-year-old woman in the 19th District earlier that morning.
The Charges
Police identified the suspects as the individuals responsible for four separate burglaries occurring between November and December.
The incidents spanned the 19th and 25th Districts, hitting locations on West Nelson Street, North Lawndale Avenue, North Greenview Avenue, and West Wellington Avenue.
Kavion Davenport faces:

Eugene Davenport faces more extensive charges:
