Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has cleared the air on rumors linking her to the controversial faceless blog, Gistlover, and her response is as fiery as it is emotional.
In a candid interview with comedian AY Makun, the screen diva shut down speculations that she owns or operates the anonymous gossip platform known for spilling celebrity secrets and scandals. The rumors, which began swirling months ago, claimed that Iyabo was the mystery figure behind Gistlover, a claim that sparked major online debates.
Addressing the issue head-on, Iyabo said, “Some people accused me of owning Gistlover. I was shocked when they said Iyabo Ojo is Gistlover. If I am, will I post about my life and also drag my daughter on Gistlover?”

She expressed her disbelief over the allegations and questioned the logic behind them. “Is it for the money or fame? The rubbish that was written about me having threesomes and stuff, is for what reason? Why would I drag my own daughter and myself? To destroy my name and reputation?” she asked.
The actress went on to reveal her thoughts about how Gistlover gets most of its information. According to her, many of the so-called leaks come from people within celebrities’ inner circles. “One thing I found out about Gistlover is that it is the people close to you who take your information to Gistlover. Sometimes the information is wrong, but they still take it,” she added.
While Iyabo Ojo remains one of the most outspoken celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry, her latest comments have reignited conversations around celebrity gossip culture and the price of fame.
Whether or not the rumors will die down is yet to be seen but one thing is clear: Nollywood filmmaker, Iyabo Ojo is not taking the accusations lightly.
