Adeyinka Alaseyori is a gifted gospel singer from Nigeria who has made a name for herself with her hit album ‘Alaseyori mi’. She was born on the 6th of June in Lagos, where she spent her childhood with her family. Although she hails from Ondo State, her formative years were spent in Lagos, where she developed a passion for music.

Adeyinka’s life was not without challenges as her parents separated when she was young. She was raised by her grandmother, who played a significant role in her upbringing. Eventually, her parents reconciled and came back together again.

Adeyinka is the first of four children and has always been passionate about music. Her inspiring lyrics have touched the hearts of many, and she is highly respected in the Nigerian gospel music scene.

She received her secondary education at Methodist Girls High School, and later pursued a Diploma Degree in Accounting at the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH). Subsequently, she was admitted into the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to further her education.

Adeyinka Alaseyori Music Career

From a young age, music had captured her heart and she was drawn to its rhythms and melodies. She was introduced to the world of music through her peers, who taught her the art of singing and composing songs during praise and worship events. As she grew older, her passion for music only continued to deepen and she honed her skills further. By the time she reached high school, she had already become a proficient singer and songwriter.

Her love for music led her to join the choir unit at CAC Oke Isegun, where she sang with great enthusiasm for many years. Her talent and dedication were evident to all who heard her sing. Eventually, she felt called to move on and join Jesus The Key Christian Assembly, where she continues to use her musical gifts to inspire and uplift others.

In 2013, she embarked on her journey as a musician, determined to make her mark in the industry. It wasn’t until 2020, when a video of her performing an infectious dance routine went viral, that she gained widespread recognition and acclaim. However, it was her cover of the beloved track “Oniduro mi eseun oh,” released in 2021, that truly catapulted her to fame. The song quickly became a sensation on the internet, earning her legions of devoted fans all over Nigeria.

Adeyinka Alaseyori, a renowned gospel musician, is happily married to her beloved husband, Prince Dave Akinyemi. Their love story began a while ago, and in December 2015, they exchanged marital vows. Since then, they have been blessed with children, and their first son is named Dominion.

Adeyinka Alaseyori Controversy

Recently, the gospel music community has been buzzing with controversy surrounding popular musician Alaseyori. Gospel singer Funke Glorious has accused Alaseyori of stealing her song and claimed that this is not the first time her colleague has been caught in the act. According to Funke Glorious, Alaseyori has a history of taking songs from their colleagues and pretending to be innocent.

Despite the allegations, Alaseyori has not yet responded to the accusations. In another video that has since gone viral, Funke Glorious apologized for using profane language in her initial video to accuse Alaseyori. However, she did not retract the allegation, and instead blamed her harsh words on “anger.”

It is worth noting that the song in question, “Oniduro Mi,” was originally composed and performed by gospel singer Toluwalase Adelegan. Alaseyori is credited with popularizing the song, but some have accused her of failing to give credit to her older colleague. The controversy has sparked a debate within the gospel music industry about the importance of giving proper credit and recognition to fellow musicians.
