With the current security conditions in the country, it’s become imperative to find safe and tranquil locations when searching for a house or office for your business. 1. Ikoyi

Ikoyi is considered to be one of the most peaceful places in Lagos, it is also affordable and should be on your list when looking to find accommodation in a safe place in this city. 

With a high level of development and infrastructure, Ikoyi isn’t just a good place to do business; but it is also ideal for residing in, as 24/7 security is available to guard your house and stop any crime from taking place.

Ikoyi boasts of luxurious infrastructures such as five-star hotels and exquisite eateries that serve local and intercontinental dishes, museums, and lots more. It also has a mix of residents from different parts of the world.

2. Gbagada / Ilupeju

The Gbagada/ Ilupeju axis is among the safest and most affordable places for middle-class families or low-income earners to reside in Lagos. While it is situated on the mainland, this area is 30 minutes from the Island. The neighbourhood is serene, has up to 16 hours of power supply daily, and the security level there is above average.

Unlike similar places on the Island that sell a 2-bedroom flat for close to 2 million naira to 3.5 million naira, the same structure in Gbagada goes for between 700,000 Naira to 1.5 million Naira.

3. Surulere

Surulere is another of the most peaceful places in Lagos. This neighbourhood is safe and relatively affordable. It also has the added benefit of being close to almost everywhere else in Lagos. 

This city is also one of Lagos’ most popular areas and has been referenced in songs by different artists. Although it is located on the Mainland, it is connected to the Island too. You can reach just about any other area you want, from Surulere.

4. Yaba

Yaba is another area to consider on your journey to find peaceful places in this state, especially if you are a student. It is located on the Lagos mainland and houses several development areas like Akoka, Sabo, Ebute-meta, etc.

Festac is one of the best and most peaceful places in Lagos, with your family. It is located in the Amuwo-Odofin local government area. This neighbourhood has accessible routes you can use to avoid Lagos traffic. Festac also has clear road access to Ikotun, Mushin, Surulere, Ikeja, and Oshodi.

There are certain amenities available in this area, which include a reliable power supply, police and fire stations, markets, state-of-the-art supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and health centres. Living in Festac, lets you enjoy your staying in Lagos.

6. Lekki

Lekki is among the most developed cities in Lagos and is home to lots of international and local public figures who are either into entertainment or sports. 7. Ikeja
