With the current security conditions in the country, it’s become imperative to find safe and tranquil locations when searching for a house or office for your business. This is why in this article we’ll be answering the question – Where Is The Most Peaceful Places In Lagos? 

This is Lagos, most Nigerians who have visited this city dream of owning an apartment. This is smart, considering that this place is a megacity and is also the economic capital of the country, where different economic opportunities and sociocultural ideas abound. Eko stands out from other similar states in the country.

Although Lagos is called the city where dreams come true, because of the opportunities that abound there. But, this place isn’t as rosy as most people think and has some downsides, especially in terms of security. Most Peaceful Places In Lagos

Below are the top most peaceful places in Lagos you can live in, that are serene, safe, and accommodating. Each of these communities is filled with good schools, developed societies, and a business-friendly atmosphere.

1. Ikoyi

Ikoyi is considered to be one of the most peaceful places in Lagos, it is also affordable and should be on your list when looking to find accommodation in a safe place in this city. 

With a high level of development and infrastructure, Ikoyi isn’t just a good place to do business; but it is also ideal for residing in, as 24/7 security is available to guard your house and stop any crime from taking place.

Ikoyi boasts of luxurious infrastructures such as five-star hotels and exquisite eateries that serve local and intercontinental dishes, museums, and lots more. It also has a mix of residents from different parts of the world.

2. Gbagada / Ilupeju

The Gbagada/ Ilupeju axis is among the safest and most affordable places for middle-class families or low-income earners to reside in Lagos. While it is situated on the mainland, this area is 30 minutes from the Island. The neighbourhood is serene, has up to 16 hours of power supply daily, and the security level there is above average.

Unlike similar places on the Island that sell a 2-bedroom flat for close to 2 million naira to 3.5 million naira, the same structure in Gbagada goes for between 700,000 Naira to 1.5 million Naira.

3. Surulere

Surulere is another of the most peaceful places in Lagos. This neighbourhood is safe and relatively affordable. It also has the added benefit of being close to almost everywhere else in Lagos. 

This city is also one of Lagos’ most popular areas and has been referenced in songs by different artists. Although it is located on the Mainland, it is connected to the Island too. You can reach just about any other area you want, from Surulere.

At Surulere, you’ll buildings such as the Ten Strings Music Institute and more. Security is available to ward off insecurities. Here, you can get a house for as low as N700,000. The place is lively too, so you won’t find it boring to stay at.

4. Yaba

Yaba is another area to consider on your journey to find peaceful places in this state, especially if you are a student. It is located on the Lagos mainland and houses several development areas like Akoka, Sabo, Ebute-meta, etc.

This neighbourhood is a fine mix of residential areas, startup companies, nightclubs, and higher institutions, making the area youthful and vibrant throughout the day and into the night. It is said to be one of the cities that never sleeps in Lagos.

Yaba is a safe area with youths living there, and if that is what you want, then it should be among the cities you should consider.

5. Festac

Festac is one of the best and most peaceful places in Lagos, with your family. It is located in the Amuwo-Odofin local government area. This neighbourhood has accessible routes you can use to avoid Lagos traffic. Festac also has clear road access to Ikotun, Mushin, Surulere, Ikeja, and Oshodi.

There are certain amenities available in this area, which include a reliable power supply, police and fire stations, markets, state-of-the-art supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and health centres. Living in Festac, lets you enjoy your staying in Lagos.

6. Lekki

Lekki is among the most developed cities in Lagos and is home to lots of international and local public figures who are either into entertainment or sports. It is also where the political and business elite reside in Lagos, which is why it easily makes this list of peaceful places to stay in this state. There is no argument about how safe Lekki is.

We can agree that Lekki is a safe place to stay. It is situated around Epe, Eti-Osa, and Ijebu-Lekki. You’ll find different interesting places, like the Lekki Conservation Center, Nike Art Center, Eleko Beach, etc.

Lekki also houses the Lagos Business School. This place is developed, and you’ll discover new development projects. 

7. Ikeja

Ikeja is a neat and serene residential area, that is listed among the most peaceful places in Lagos. There are lots of fantastic spots you hang out with your friends, like the Ikeja City Malls, cinemas, bars, and restaurants you can find all over this neighbourhood. 

Some top places here, include Computer Village which is the largest hub of ICT in West Africa. As the capital of Lagos State, it is home to lots of Nigerian Government Parastatals. Additionally, Ikeja houses many prominent areas such as Ojodu, Opebi, Akiode, Alausa, Agidingbi, and Magodo & Maryland.

Many companies are producing an array of goods in Ikeja, similarly, it is a mix of commercial and residential areas which makes it the perfect location to begin a business in the heart of Lagos. This place also has good schools, hospitals, and security outposts.
