Aliko Dangote

According to Forbes, he is ranked as the richest man in Africa, with most of his wealth coming primarily from the Dangote Cement Company. Although his other businesses have also been successful, cement manufacturing has been a major contributor to his fortune. Dangote grew up in the upper class and inherited his entrepreneurial spirit from his grandfather, Dantata, who was once the richest man in Kano State. 

Today, Dangote is recognized as the richest black man in the world and one of Africa’s most respected businessmen and philanthropists.

Johann Rupert & Family

Johann Rupert, the eldest son of Anton Rupert and his wife Huberte, is a prominent South African entrepreneur and billionaire businessman.

He is best known for founding Rand Merchant Bank, Compagnie Financière Richemont SA. In 1998, Richemont SA was formed through a spinoff of assets that were previously owned by Rembrandt Group Limited, which was founded by Rupert’s father Anton in the 1940s.

As of 2023, Rupert and his family are ranked as the richest in South Africa on the Forbes list, with an estimated net worth of US$10.7 billion. Furthermore, he is regarded as the second richest man in Africa.

Abdul Samad Rabiu

Abdulsamad Rabiu is the founder of BUA Group, a Nigerian company that deals in cement production, sugar refining, and real estate.

He began his professional journey at the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), which was owned by his family. After working there for several years, he established BUA Group in 1988. As the head of the organization, he has transformed it into one of Africa’s most extensive conglomerates, with activities in Nigeria, Ghana, and other African territories.

BUA Group has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy, particularly in the cement and sugar sectors. The corporation has also invested in renewable energy and infrastructure. The BUA Refinery in Rivers State, which is one of Nigeria’s largest oil refineries, is presently being constructed by the company.

Nassif Sawiris

Currently, He is the chief executive for Orascom Construction Industries and is responsible for taking care of the construction projects of the company. Mike Adenuga

Mike Adenuga is another Nigerian billionaire with substantial investments in Lagos. He is the owner of Globacom, one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications companies, and Conoil, an oil exploration and production company.

He is one of the wealthiest people on the African continent as well as the richest person in Lagos. Named the 3rd richest man in Nigeria according to Forbes. He gained his wealth from telecommunications and oil production in Nigeria.

His telecom company, Globacom is the third largest network operator in the country, with over 50 million subscribers, and his Petroleum company, Conoil is one of the biggest Petroleum exploration and production companies in Nigeria.
