There have been lots of reactions on social media after President Trump named 13-year-old DJ Daniel a Secret Service agent.
The cancer survivor is the youngest US Secret Service officer.
The 13-year-old with a rare form of brain and spinal cord was presented with an honorary badge by the US Secret Service Director Sean Curran at the Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
DJ Daniel battled against brain cancer and has never lost hope to fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer. Trump praised the lad for his determination.
“Thank you, President Trump & White House Team. This kid got harassed for wearing his police uniform, but now he’s getting honored.” Someone reacted.
Another said: “You gotta give it to Trump and his team, that was a wholesome moment, that is what is all about”.
Another noticed: “And the Democrats were on camera, seated, and didn’t clap. FOR A KID SURVIVING CANCER AND HAVING HIS DREAM COME TRUE.”
