Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh is stepping into a new era of personal growth and intentional living, revealing that turning 40 has brought with it a deep sense of maturity, clarity, and purpose.
In a heartfelt post shared on her Instagram page, the mother of one opened up about how her mindset has shifted in recent times, particularly in the way she expresses her desires, goals, and prayers. For Tonto Dikeh, vague aspirations are now a thing of the past she’s embracing a more specific, purposeful, and aligned approach to life.
“I don’t know what I am looking for, but I feel it when I find it. This is a dangerous place to be in life (mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually). It’s not a healthy state of mind, even though it seems to work for some people,” she wrote, reflecting on the emotional toll of uncertainty.
Having evolved from her younger, more spontaneous self, Tonto Dikeh now takes pride in being deliberate about what she asks for, both from life and in her spiritual journey.
“I’m far too intentional to leave my desires vague. When I bring something before God, I give Him a detailed, A-to-Z breakdown of what I want to manifest,” she said.
The actress explained her process using a relatable example: “For example, if I’m asking for a job, I’m specific. What salary I want, my preferred working hours, the kind of environment I’ll thrive in, and even how I want my superiors to treat me.”
This intentionality, she believes, is rooted in a new level of self-awareness and spiritual alignment that has come with age.
“At 40, I don’t make shallow requests. My needs and wants come from a place of self-awareness, wisdom, and alignment,” she concluded.
Tonto Dikeh has long been known for her candour, resilience, and bold personality, often making headlines for her activism, parenting, and personal reinvention. With this latest insight into her mindset at 40, the actress offers her followers a vulnerable yet empowering glimpse into the inner work that underpins her transformation.
Her post has since sparked conversations online, with many praising her honesty and using her words as a reminder to be intentional about their own lives both in vision and in faith.
