There have been several reactions following the news of the serving Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) of Equatorial Guinea, Baltasar Ebang Engonga, who was caught in one of the country’s largest sex scandals.

He was caught on tape in intimate encounters with multiple women, including his brother’s wife, a cousin, and even a sister of the country’s president.

The scandal, now one of the largest in Equatorial Guinea’s history, emerged during a corruption investigation that uncovered over 400 videos of Engonga engaging in these acts across various locations, including his office and hotels.

The tapes, allegedly consensually filmed, were leaked after authorities found them on Engonga’s computer.

Popular social critic Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, has highlighted the scandal on Instagram, drawing mixed reactions.

“This scandal is shocking on so many levels. Beyond the personal betrayals, it’s disturbing to see the health risks taken without protection.” Someone on X (twitter) reacted.

Another said: “What a decline in morals! More than 400 deceived husbands, possibly illegitimate children, and women who, for a moment of pleasure, trampled on honor and family. DNA must now become the silent judge of a bitter truth where virtue is lost without remorse, and trust crumbles.”
