Oniru Beach Resort is one of the best beaches in Lagos to unwind on a weekend. This privately owned resort is maintained by the Oniru Royal family of Oniru, a Victoria Island suburb. The calm aura and exclusivity of this beach make it one of the most frequented beaches in the city. If you’re planning to visit, read our Oniru Beach Resort Guide And Review.

There are a lot of activities that make the Oniru Beach Resort a great place to visit in Lagos. One of those activities includes swimming and picnics, horseback riding, a grill joint for meat, a fresh fish spot, and a bar for assorted drinks. Although this place is privately owned, it can still be packed and rowdy on occasion.

Over the years, Oniru Beach has become a favourite spot for beach lovers. While it is often seen as a place for only rich people because it is private, that is in fact not the case. It is still a regular destination for your Sunday hangouts with family or friends, event celebrations, couples’ dates, you can also go here solo. During the festive period, this beach turns into a centre for many events too.

About The Oniru Beach Resort

The Oniru Beach Resort is one of the most popular beaches in Lagos. It is one of the closest to both Lagos Island and the Mainland. This beach is clean and usually quiet in the mornings or afternoons but comes alive in the evenings or on weekends.

Reviews About Oniru Beach Resort

Now that you’ve gotten an idea of how the Oniru Beach Resort functions, which restaurant you can get food or drinks from, and the fun activities to do here, let’s now look at the reviews other beachgoers like you have about this place.

1. Five Star Beach

Oniru is a five-star beach, it is fun and lovely. The place is well organized and heavily secured too. It is also a clean and affordable all-hour beach. Every unit on the beach has its fun and games so that you have varieties to select from. There is good customer service too from vendors. Oniru is worth visiting again.

2. Nice Party Beach

It is a very nice party beach, that comes highly recommended even at night. The sand is soft and quite clean, so you can walk barefoot here. Although it is not a classic South Sea beach, it is very clean and beautiful by its standards, and the water is warm too. You’ll have a nice experience here.

3. Security

The security at Oniru Private Beach Resort is good and regulated. However, since it gets crowded, do not leave your items unattended as someone may cart them away. Other than this, it is a good spot for family outings and friends reunion.

4. It Can Get Crowded

Oniru is one of the most popular beaches on the Island, so if you don’t want unnecessary crowds, billings, and area boys, then this place is not for you. However, if you don’t mind any of that, you’ll have lots of fun here.

5. A Relaxing Experience

This beach offers a really relaxing experience. Once you pay the entrance fee and go in, you’ll find lots to eat and drink. It is a well-kept beach. Paying the gate fee online is cheaper than at the entrance especially if you are in a large group. If you are here on a Monday, you may be allowed to bring in food.
