South Africans Nigerians bolt ride

Nigerians Retaliate After South Africans Reportedly Waste Bolt Drivers’ Time with Fake Ride Orders

South Africans have been ordering Bolt rides in Nigeria from South Africa, only to cancel them once the driver arrives at the pick-up location, according to reports.

They allegedly justify this by saying Nigeria’s currency is weak, and they can avoid paying cancellation fees. Some have even hinted at reporting fake crimes to police lines next.

In response, some Nigerians have begun retaliating by placing Bolt orders and requesting pay-on-delivery items to inconvenience South Africans.

This situation has sparked widespread reactions on social media. One user on X said, “South Africans think they’re petty, but they weren’t informed. Nigerians Arise! Bolt for Bolt.”

Another commented, “They don’t realize we have the numbers, time, and resources to be petty. If they mess with a few Lagos drivers, we’ll make all of South Africa feel it.”

Another person added, “I don’t think there’s any country on this continent that can outdo Naija in pettiness.”

As of now, Bolt has not released a statement on the situation.
