Award-winning Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, has finally broken her silence on long-standing rumours surrounding her decision to keep her husband, Mr. Ezerika, away from the public eye.
In a candid interview on the Dear Ife podcast hosted by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri addressed public curiosity about her marriage, explaining that her choice to keep certain aspects of her personal life private has nothing to do with secrecy. Instead, it’s a deliberate move to maintain peace and avoid unnecessary drama.
She emphasized that her husband plays an active role in her life and career, contrary to the public perception that he is hidden or absent. “We go to church together, we attend events together, my life is not as private as people think. In the events I organize, my husband is always there,” the actress revealed.
The mother of two further explained that her husband naturally prefers to live away from the spotlight, a choice she wholeheartedly respects. Despite the growing culture of over-sharing on social media, Kadiri maintained that there’s no obligation to put her relationship on display to validate its authenticity.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough. Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?” she said.
Ruth Kadiri’s remarks have since resonated with many fans, particularly those who believe that love doesn’t need public validation to be real. Her balanced approach to fame and family continues to earn her praise, proving that sometimes, the best love stories are the ones kept sacred.
