Liverpool star Mohammed Salah has revealed that he is ready to play until the age of 40 before ending his football career.
The Egyptian forward signed a new two-year deal with Liverpool in April to extend his association with the club.
Salah, who enjoyed a successful season with 29 goals, and 18 assists to lead Liverpool to their 20th Premier League title.
The 32-year has expressed his desire to play until the age of 40 before considering retirement.
Salah said: “I will stop playing when I have that feeling.
“If you ask me for my opinion, I think I can play until the age of 39 or 40 but if I felt before that I wanted to stop, I would quit. I have achieved a lot of things.
“My contract was up at Liverpool and I would have gone to Saudi but we finalised the deal with Liverpool.”
“I don’t know what is going to happen but I am happy here in Liverpool and I am staying here for the next two years. Then I will see what I will do next.”
He admitted that he still has a good relationship with Saudi Arabia despite rejecting the offer to sign a new deal with Liverpool.
Salah concluded: “I still have a good relationship with them and I always stay in contact with them. Yes, we were talking to each other.”
“I don’t know what is going to happen but I am happy here in Liverpool and I am staying here for the next two years. Then I will see what I will do next.”
Salah was named Premier League player of the season following his 47 goal involvements (29 goals, 18 assists), a tally which moved him level with Alan Shearer, and Andy Cole for the most ever in a season.
