The music veteran cleared the air during a recent episode of the +234 Mzansi Podcast, hosted by comedian and actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu. In the candid conversation, 2Baba confidently debunked the speculations, asserting that he remains financially stable, thanks to smart decisions and strategic investments over the years.

“I’m not broke. I invested my money. I can live with or without music,” the iconic singer declared.

2Baba, known for his calm demeanour and timeless musical hits, emphasized that his music career opened doors to business opportunities, which he fully explored. He revealed that aside from his musical income, he has invested in real estate, hospitality, and entertainment ventures making him one of the most financially secure artists on the continent.

Despite his relatively quiet presence on the music charts in recent years, 2Baba’s legacy and influence remain unshaken. With several endorsements, a record label, and successful business interests, the singer is still considered one of Africa’s most bankable celebrities.

His remarks have put an end to speculations that the music icon had fallen on hard times; a rumour that has circulated due to his low-profile lifestyle and recent personal headlines.

Fans have since taken to social media to applaud the veteran for his business acumen and ability to stay relevant and financially independent long after his chart-topping days.
