A man living illegally in the U.S. was arrested Tuesday in Dallas after he allegedly offered a $10,000 bounty on social media for the murder of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest of Eduardo Aguilar, an illegal alien from Mexico.
Aguilar was charged with transmitting a communication containing a threat in interstate or foreign commerce.
Threats and Felony Weapon Possession
The federal charges stem from a TikTok post made by Aguilar on October 9, 2025, written in Spanish.
The post solicited “10 dudes in Dallas with determination who aren’t afraid to [kill]” and offered “$10K for each ICE agent.”
When Aguilar was arrested on October 14, a loaded 9mm handgun was found in his vehicle. As an illegal alien, the possession of a firearm is a felony offense under U.S. law.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin praised the swift law enforcement action. “Thanks to the quick work of law enforcement, this illegal alien who was offering $10,000 cash bounties for the murder of ICE law enforcement is in custody,” McLaughlin said.
“We are thankful this illegal alien who had a firearm in his possession was arrested before he could kill one of our law enforcement officers.”
Criminal History and Deportation Order
Records show that Aguilar illegally entered the U.S. in 2018 as an unaccompanied minor.
An immigration judge issued him a final order of removal on February 8, 2019. His criminal history includes charges for violating liquor laws.
The investigation was a multi-agency effort, with ICE and the Federal Protective Service (FPS) supporting the FBI – Dallas, alongside the Dallas Police Department and several other federal and state agencies.
