Gracie Bon, IG Model, Opens Up About Surgery: Before and After Photos Shared

Panamanian model Gracie Bon has finally admitted to having surgery. She also posted a before and after picture.

In a lengthy social media post, Gracie stated that prior to losing weight and undergoing surgery, she suffered from constant knee pain, inability to breathe properly, and rejection from her former partner.

“Embracing my journey: It all started with loving my 300 pounds body.” She said.

She explained; “And even so, many tell me: “but if you had loved it, you would have stayed like this and not changed anything about you.” The truth is that I loved my body so much that I wanted to take care of it and decided to save myself, I didn’t like my knee pain, not being able to breath properly or rejection from my ex-partner at that time so I did everything possible to lose weight.”

Gracie Bon continued; “After losing weight, I removed some of the extra skin with surgeries. I did not settle for being young and complain about my flaws; I am not an hypocrite that will tell you that everything should stay the same to be happy and that body positive is staying the way you are, do what is best for you and what makes you truly happy, do not try to fit anyone standards, create yours instead. It takes a lot of time to understand that beauty is behind your eyes only and I love all the beautiful versions of myself.”

She concluded; “Note: Being skinny does not make you healthy; Not even being fit makes you superior… we all have our times, processes and no one knows the condition or health status of an overweight person. Every journey is unique. Always show love and empathy to others, everyone is fighting a battle you may not understand.”

This comes a few weeks after the Instagram model petitioned airlines to expand their seating options… she claims she has trouble getting settled for takeoff, even when flying first class.
