4. New Afrika Shrine

New Afrika Shrine is an extension of the Kalakuta Museum, it is the place where Fela Anikulapo Kuti created Afrobeat. Fela’s legacy is continually celebrated by performances at this spot by top and upcoming Nigerian artists.

Afrika Shine is where Kuti sang his politically-charged songs for spectators when he was alive. While it is a musical centre, it is also a community hub where people go to discuss cultural and political issues. The Shrine is used to rehabilitate and engage the low-income; taking them from the streets to give them jobs and education.

Besides all that, Fela’s Shrine is a good spot to have fun. You can dance to the Afrobeat sounds delivered by the Anikulapo Kuti children.

Location: NERDC Road, Off Hakeem Balogun Street, Agindingbi, Ikeja.

5. Blackwood Grills & Bar

Zen Garden was built to give customers a sense of order and harmony, as the space seeks to represent a metaphorical impression of the natural world.

The intention behind this place is to allow you to observe the garden from specific vantage points so that how symbolic the garden’s landscape becomes apparent and you can fully appreciate its meditative focus.

Zen’s layouts and groups of plants are subtle and pleasing. It creates an illusion of depth and space designed through the placing of elements; an attempt to reflect the Zen concept of discipline, self-examination, and ultimate enlightenment.

Doing those exercises is an excellent way to improve communication, morale, motivation, and productivity, helping employees get to know each other well, and learn about each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
