Kid’s Beach Garden

Topping our list of fun places to take kids in Lagos is Kid’s Beach Garden located at the extreme end of Elegushi Beach in Lekki, Lagos.

It is the first sustainable beach in Nigeria aimed at teaching children the many benefits of maintaining an eco-friendly environment.

On this beach, the air is clean and the entrance is completely free. 

At Kid’s Beach, kids get to engage in fun and educative activities such as games, puzzles, tree planting, water sorting, and horseback riding, while also learning about climate action.

It is the ideal spot to go if you want to love giving back to nature and would like to teach your kids ways to maintain a clean and healthy environment. You can also participate in beach clean-ups and adopt beautiful plants for your home.

Lekki Conservation Centre

Lekki Conservation Centre is one of the best recreational centres to take kids who love adventures and nature.

Surrounded by stunning greenery, this nature reserve is home to abundant trees and wildlife like monkeys, tortoises, crocodiles, and fascinating birds. It also has a suspended canopy walkway that offers a unique view over the entire reserve.

It is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Nigeria. You can organize family picnics, or visit to enjoy fresh air, take pictures and relax with your kids.

Rufus and Bee

Rufus and Bee is arguably one of the most exciting places for kids in Lagos, especially during the summer breaks.

It is an arcade center in Nigeria with a plethora of games ranging from classic snooker games to modern dancing games.

There are loads of games for kids to play and a bowling center and bar for adults.

To access the games, you must purchase a buzz card and load it up with chips. The buzz card cost 1000 naira for first-timers with a compulsory additional top-up of 5000 naira for chips.

Chip prices range from 5000 naira for 55 chips to 30,000 for 405 chips and you need about 4-5 chips to play a game.

Popsicle by Happy Hour is a fun place in Lagos where you can enjoy affordable Popsicles for as low as 1000 naira. If you have a kid with a sweet tooth, this is the perfect place to bring them on a budget. 

Happy Hour popsicles are bitesize with a huge choice of flavours to choose from. You can get vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint, and also custom-made flavours.

It is mostly hot in Lagos so you can enjoy this cold tasty goodness with your kids.

Hakuna Matata theme park

As the name suggests, the wet zone features a double wave slide, a double-lane snow slide, and two small pools.

The dry zone on the other hand has a bouncing castle, a train ride, an air space, and a 40-seater carousel. At this park, kids get to enjoy a wide variety of games and fun activities for kids of all ages.

It is located at Eko Hotels, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Hakuna Matata theme park is the perfect place to create fun memories with your kids. There’s a nursery space for toddlers, a restaurant, and a bar for adults.

Upbeat is a recreational centre situated at Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. It offers a variety of fun and fitness activities such as trampolining, wall climbing, foam pits, etc.

Upbeat welcomes children of all ages from toddlers to teenagers. It is a nice spot for team bonding and physical wellness for the whole family.

Ceracerni’s Art Hub
