A sport-utility vehicle crashed into a Shell gas station mini mart in Chicago’s East Pilsen neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
CBS News Chicago reported the incident occurred at the intersection of 18th and Ruble streets.
The vehicle smashed into the building multiple times before 5 a.m.

The impact left the SUV with a mangled hood and the store’s front glass door completely destroyed.
Sources told CBS News Chicago the vehicle involved in the crash was stolen.
The gas station attendant on duty reported that the suspects rammed the storefront three times during the attempted burglary.
The would-be burglars abandoned the damaged SUV at the scene following the crashes.
The suspects fled the area in a separate vehicle.
The attendant confirmed that nothing was taken from the business during the incident.
