A woman killed in a late-night shooting in Chicago’s Park Manor neighborhood has been identified as Tabria Ann Carroll.
The 31-year-old was riding in a car in the 6700-block of South Langley Avenue when the attack occurred.
The incident happened at approximately 11:08 p.m. on Sunday night.
Chicago police say a shooter approached the vehicle from the street and began firing toward the car.
Carroll was struck in the head by the gunfire while sitting in the passenger seat.

Emergency responders rushed her to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.
Doctors later pronounced her dead at the hospital.
It remains unclear if anyone else was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
No suspects are currently in custody, and police have not released a description of the shooter.
Area One detectives are actively investigating the case to determine a motive.
