Social media erupted Tuesday with claims that controversial YouTuber Charleston White was shot in Texas.
A viral post on X from the account @TommyGoBraazy claimed White was in “critical condition after being shot 3x.”
The rumor spread rapidly across Facebook and X, with some users even falsely claiming the 48-year-old had died.
However, these reports are entirely false and have been confirmed as a death hoax.
Charleston White personally hopped on a live stream to address the rumors and set the record straight.
“Someone said I got shot in Ft. Worth, I don’t even live in Ft. Worth,” White said during the broadcast.
Rapper Nikeboy Zeke shared a conversation with White’s manager, who confirmed the internet personality is alive and well.
“No it’s not true. He ain’t been in Texas in almost a week,” the manager stated in a screenshot of the chat.
White’s manager further clarified that the comedian is currently in Miami, not Texas.
White’s own social media activity also contradicts the shooting rumors.
He posted a video Tuesday morning showing off a new residence in Florida.
“Unc got a new condo in Miami. I’m living better than your favorite rapper,” White captioned the post.
Charleston White is a motivational speaker and comedian known for his provocative commentary on hip-hop and culture.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, he often speaks about his past gang involvement to steer youth away from violence.
Despite the viral speculation, Charleston White is safe and has not been involved in a shooting.
