A 49-year-old man was killed Friday night after being shot multiple times inside a home on Chicago’s South Side.
Chicago police responded to a residence in the 400 block of East 72nd Street in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood around 10:21 p.m.
Officers discovered the victim inside the home with several gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Kazeem Jinadu.
Records show Jinadu lived at the address where the shooting occurred.
While investigators recovered a firearm at the scene, no suspects are currently in custody.
Chicago police are treating the case as a homicide.
No further details regarding a motive or potential suspects have been released.
