Police are searching for three individuals who robbed a Logan Square convenience store and assaulted a worker early Monday morning.
The incident occurred just after 5:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of West Armitage Avenue.
According to the Chicago Police, two men and one woman entered the store and claimed they had a weapon.
During the robbery, one of the suspects struck a 52-year-old male employee in the face.
The group then grabbed cash from the register and various merchandise before fleeing the scene on foot.
The employee declined medical attention at the scene.
As of Monday afternoon, no suspects are in custody, and police have not released detailed descriptions of the individuals involved.
Area Five detectives are currently leading the investigation.
