An 18-year-old man who died Sunday night after being shot on Chicago’s West Side has been identified by officials.
Aden Ramirez, a resident of the Portage Park neighborhood, was pronounced dead at Loretto Hospital.
According to the Chicago Police, the incident began around 7:40 p.m. in the 3800 block of West West End Avenue in East Garfield Park.
Ramirez arrived at the hospital shortly after with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Medical staff were unable to save him.
Investigators believe the shooting took place on the street in East Garfield Park, but few details regarding a motive or suspect description have been released.
As of Monday morning, no one is in custody, and area detectives are currently investigating the case.
