A 31-year-old man is facing first-degree murder charges following a deadly shooting and armed robbery that took place in November on Chicago’s West Side.
Chicago Police arrested Zakaria Abdrahim on December 15, 2025, in the 6000 block of North Kenmore Avenue.
Investigators identified Abdrahim as the gunman responsible for an attack that left one man dead and a woman seriously injured.
The Incident
The shooting occurred on November 21, 2025, in the 4500 block of West Fifth Avenue.
According to police, Abdrahim fatally shot a 31-year-old man.
During the same incident, he reportedly robbed a 26-year-old woman of her property before shooting and seriously injuring her.

The offender is scheduled for a detention hearing today, December 18, 2025, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California Ave.
