A 27-year-old woman was shot to death in a domestic disturbance early Monday morning in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood.
Chicago police responded to a call of a disturbance around 2:37 a.m. in the 9600-block of S. Avenue N. Upon arrival, officers found the woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 29-year-old man was quickly taken into police custody in connection with the shooting. Authorities also recovered a weapon at the scene.
Police have stated that charges are pending as the investigation continues.
