On January 9, 2025, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), became the subject of widespread discussion after a viral video surfaced showing a heartwarming moment of respect at the ₦32 billion International Christian Worship Centre in Akwa Ibom.
The video captured a significant exchange between Pastor Adeboye and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, and it quickly became a trending topic on social media.
In the video, Pastor Adeboye, known for his humility and deep Christian leadership, tried to stand up to greet Governor Umo Eno during a public event.
However, as soon as the Governor noticed, he immediately urged Pastor Adeboye to remain seated. With a respectful tone, Umo Eno said, “Ahh daddy e joko” (meaning “Please, daddy, sit down”).
In an unexpected but deeply respectful gesture, Governor Umo Eno then knelt down to greet Pastor Adeboye instead.
