Abroad-based content creator and former partner of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, Yinka Thesien, has taken to social media to issue a heartfelt apology after previously revealing intimate details about the actor’s personal life.
Thesien, who once made headlines during a tell-all interview with controversial media personality Uche Maduagwu, had disclosed that her relationship with Linc began under complicated circumstances. In that interview, she alleged that Linc’s ex-wife, Amaka, had been unfaithful, a claim that sparked heavy backlash online. The conversation also saw her sharing sensitive family matters that many felt were better left private.
Now, in a surprising turn of events, Yinka has extended an olive branch to the Edochie family. In a recent Instagram video, she expressed deep regret over her past actions, acknowledging that her previous outburst stemmed from emotional pain.
“Hello everyone I decided to make this video to apologise to Linc. You know sometimes when we are hurting we come from a position of pain, we say things we should not have said. I am guilty of it. I am not perfect. I am saying it now, Linc, I am sorry in any way I have hurt you; find it in your heart to forgive me,” she said in the emotional video.
Thesien went on to affirm that she no longer holds any grudge and urged her followers not to spread hate in her name.
“When we came on social media it was to share a love that was beautiful. Anybody disseminating information or saying mean things about Linc is not acting on my behalf. I have forgiven him. He is an awesome and kind man. I apologise for everything I said or did to hurt him.”
The unexpected apology has stirred mixed reactions online, with many praising her for taking accountability, while others questioned the timing and sincerity of her gesture. Regardless, her words may mark the beginning of a new chapter in what has been a very public and emotionally charged saga.
