A 40-year-old woman is in critical condition after a suspected hit-and-run early Wednesday morning on Chicago’s West Side.
The incident happened around 1:39 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 5th Avenue.
According to Chicago police, a witness flagged down officers after spotting the woman lying in the middle of the street.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where doctors listed her in critical condition.
Investigation Details
Detectives from the Major Accidents Unit are currently leading the investigation.
As of Wednesday afternoon, police have not made any arrests, and no vehicle description has been released to the public.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or nearby security footage to contact the Chicago Police Department.
