A woman and a teenage boy are recovering in the hospital after being injured in an unprovoked stabbing attack near a Loop CTA platform late Monday night.
The incident unfolded just before 10 p.m. in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue, near the Washington/Wabash CTA station.
The Attack
According to Chicago police, the two victims, a 19-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, were walking in the area when two unidentified individuals, both wearing dark clothing, approached them on foot.
One of the attackers pulled out a knife and attacked both victims before immediately fleeing the scene.
Following the assault, the victims were moved to the Orange Line platform, where they received immediate attention from the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) before being transported to a local hospital.
Victim Conditions

19-year-old woman: Suffered a puncture wound to the abdomen and is listed in serious condition.

15-year-old boy: Suffered a laceration to his left hand and a puncture wound to the abdomen, and is listed in good condition.
Police currently have no clarity on what led to the attack, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
