Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has urged his teammates to stick together in other to stand a chance to defeat PSG in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday.
The Gunners will be aiming to overturn a 1-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium last week to qualify for their first final in the competition since 2006.
Arteta’s men suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League ahead of the clash in Paris.
PSG have already three English teams in the Champions League this season, getting the better of Man City in the group stages, sending Liverpool out in the second round before dumping Aston Villa out in the quarter-finals.
Odegaard has backed his teammates to recover from the Bournemouth defeat with an impressive performance against PSG.
He said: “We’re disappointed now, but we have to move on and be strong and stick together and prepare for a massive game.
“It’s a massive game. That’s the good thing. When you’re disappointed now and you’re angry and frustrated, you can use all those emotions into Wednesday.
“We know what we’re playing for. We have to stick together and create energy and be ready.”
Arsenal have never won an European trophy, Odegaard and his teammates will be hoping they can break the jinx by first getting past PSG before taking on the winner between Barcelona and Inter Milan in the final.
