Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo’s recent ordeal has taken a disturbing twist, as her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, has revealed that a chilling threat letter was sent to her mother’s office just months after her wedding to Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
The shocking revelation comes shortly after Iyabo’s Lagos office was gutted by fire in what many initially thought was an unfortunate accident. However, new details emerging from Priscilla’s account hint at a potentially sinister backstory.
According to Priscilla, the letter allegedly written by a self-identified “aggrieved group” contained disturbing threats aimed at both Iyabo and her daughter’s newly established marriage.
The letter, laced with venom and warnings, read:
“You put someone’s life in trouble and you are out enjoying giving out your daughter in marriage abi? O ma laya o, you cannot escape in the next three months as we are out monitoring you. Watch out, we shall render your daughter’s marriage useless and rubbish it with scatter scatter. That your daughter will not enjoy her marriage. Shebi we are all there on that wedding day. Watch and see – Aggrieved group.”
Priscilla, who shared the development after the fire incident, disclosed that her mother had been in Tanzania at the time of the wedding and didn’t receive or read the letter until she returned to Nigeria. The timing of the threat, coupled with the subsequent fire outbreak, has sparked concerns about targeted harassment or even possible arson.
Taking to social media, the influencer announced that efforts are underway to trace the individual or courier who delivered the letter, with plans to share the CCTV footage with both the public and law enforcement authorities.
Meanwhile, Iyabo Ojo has maintained a resilient spirit in the face of the tragedy. Reacting to the fire that destroyed parts of her office, she expressed immense gratitude for the safety of lives and the swift intervention of the Nigerian Fire Service.
She wrote on Instagram:
“The devil tested us today, but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”
Fans and well-wishers have since flooded social media with messages of support, calling for a full investigation into the incident and praying for safety for the Ojo family.
