Controversial social media commentator, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has fired back at Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo following her viral petition against the Nigeria Police Force and CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche.
Earlier this week, Iyabo Ojo submitted a formal petition to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, accusing the Commissioner of Police overseeing the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF‑NCCC) of professional misconduct. The actress alleged that during her recent interrogation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, CP Uche allowed VeryDarkMan who is a civilian and a defendant in another case in which she is a witness to be present in the room.
According to Ojo, the incident not only violated procedure but also led to the leakage of sensitive details from her private session, which were later circulated online by VeryDarkMan. Her petition, filed through her legal representatives, The Maverick Forte Legal, has since made the rounds on social media, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
In a swift and scornful response, VeryDarkMan took to his Instagram stories on Tuesday evening to react to the development. Sharing a screenshot of the petition, he wrote:
“@nigeriastory this petition na suya paper.”
The dismissive statement has since gone viral, with fans and critics debating the propriety of his reaction and the ongoing tension between both public figures.
It’s worth recalling that Iyabo Ojo was invited by police authorities weeks ago after she vocally condemned singer Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, over their alleged involvement in the tragic death of singer Mohbad. Her callout followed the circulation of disturbing videos that appeared to show Mohbad being harassed by the duo prior to his passing.
The actress’s petition against CP Uche and the broader allegations of bias and improper conduct at the NPF‑NCCC have added another layer of complexity to the high-profile investigation. But judging by VeryDarkMan’s reaction, he’s far from worried, brushing it off as nothing more than a symbolic gesture with no real weight.
As the saga continues, the public watches closely, with many awaiting an official response from the Nigeria Police Force on the matter.
