Nigerian music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has broken his silence on rumors alleging he was involved in a physical altercation with nightlife impresario and celebrity socialite, Cubana Chief Priest.
The rumors, which gained traction across Nigerian social media platforms and gossip blogs, claimed the pair clashed at the upscale Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. According to viral posts quoting supposed eyewitnesses, the confrontation allegedly turned violent, with “heavy blows not meant for the faint-hearted” being exchanged.
The incident, as described by online sources, reportedly drew a sizable crowd of onlookers and was painted as a dramatic fallout between two influential figures in Nigeria’s entertainment and hospitality circles.
However, Ubi Franklin has firmly denied any such altercation ever took place. In a now-deleted post on his Instagram Story, the music mogul slammed the report and dismissed both the platform that published it and those who believed the account.
“Anyone who believes this story, especially the narrative on Instablog written by a blogger in an attempt for relevance, is a f**l lol,” Franklin wrote bluntly.
His response not only refutes the allegations but also casts doubt on the credibility of certain online blogs that often trade in sensationalism. While Franklin didn’t mention Cubana Chief Priest directly in his denial, the tone of his statement made it clear he viewed the entire narrative as fabricated nonsense.
As of now, Cubana Chief Priest has not addressed the rumors publicly, and no video evidence or credible witnesses have surfaced to support the claims.
With both men known for their high-profile lifestyles and active presence in the entertainment scene, the alleged confrontation quickly became a trending topic, one that, according to Ubi Franklin, is nothing more than an attention-grabbing hoax.
