Two men are recovering after being shot Saturday afternoon in Chicago’s Brainerd neighborhood.
According to Chicago police, the incident happened around 2:57 p.m. in the 8900 block of South Loomis Street.
An 18-year-old and a 22-year-old were standing on the sidewalk when a silver SUV pulled up.
Two men jumped out of the vehicle and immediately opened fire on the pair.
After the shooting, the gunmen got back into the SUV and sped away, heading south on Loomis Street.
Injuries and Hospital Status:

The 18-year-old was shot in the buttocks.

The 22-year-old was shot in the right arm.
Emergency responders took both victims to Christ Hospital.
Officials say both men are currently in good condition.
No one is in custody.
Area Two Detectives are leading the investigation and searching for the silver SUV involved.
