Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has shared a deeply emotional and revealing testimony about her spiritual transformation during a church service at Streams of Joy International Church, Abuja, led by Pastor Jerry Uchechukwu Eze.
Speaking during the service, Dikeh thanked God for what she described as the salvation of her soul and a total turnaround in her life. She recounted how she began smoking at the age of 13, influenced by her father, and struggled with the addiction for 27 years. According to her, the urge to smoke has now completely disappeared.
The actress also opened up about her past struggle with alcohol addiction, revealing that she once drank heavily to the point of passing out after consuming large bottles of vodka. She testified that the addiction has been broken and that she no longer drinks or smokes.
Dikeh further shared that she has been delivered from masturbation and healed from chronic back pain that plagued her for 20 years, saying the pain is now completely gone.
In a moment of deep reflection, she admitted that for much of her 40 years, she had been involved in spiritual practices and altars she was never meant to worship at. She said she now has clarity about her identity and her place in God.
The actress also testified about disturbing spiritual experiences she used to have in her dreams, which she described as sexual encounters. She said those experiences stopped after attending the NSPPD Ghana conference, adding that the “spiritual husband” she once battled has never returned.
According to her, since becoming a member of the NSPPD community, she has experienced unusual favour, with people blessing her simply because of her renewed spiritual identity.
Declaring her commitment to God, Dikeh said she has returned home spiritually and has no intention of going back to her former life. She revealed that she has enrolled in discipleship classes and is now living with transparency, allowing the Holy Spirit to continually minister to her.
Moved by her testimony, Dikeh pleaded with Pastor Jerry Eze to lay hands on her. The pastor prayed for her, alongside the congregation, declaring that the hold of sin over her life had been broken and affirming her calling as a voice for her generation.
The testimony sparked emotional reactions in the church and across social media, with many praising her openness and celebrating what they described as a powerful story of redemption and restoration.
