Hollywood is mourning the loss of rising star Kelley Mack, the talented actress best known for her roles in The Walking Dead and Chicago Med, who has sadly passed away at the age of 33.
Mack, born Kelley Klebenow, died in her hometown of Cincinnati on Saturday after a courageous battle with glioma of the central nervous system; a rare and aggressive form of brain tumour.
Her death has sent ripples through the entertainment world, with tributes pouring in from fans, co-stars, and friends who remember her not only for her on-screen brilliance but also for her warmth, strength, and unwavering spirit.
Mack began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age, gradually building a resume that reflected both her range and passion for the craft. Her breakout role came as Addy in AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead, where she portrayed a survivor navigating a post-apocalyptic world. She later brought the character of Penelope Jacobs to life in Chicago Med, further cementing her place as a dynamic force on screen.
Beyond television, Kelley Mack carved out a successful path in voice-over work and commercial acting, appearing in campaigns for major brands. Her versatile talent and distinctive voice made her a sought-after figure in the advertising world.
Fellow Walking Dead alum Alanna Masterson paid a heartfelt tribute to Mack, calling her an “incredible human” and expressing how honoured she felt to have worked with her. The message echoed the sentiments of many who described Mack as not just a gifted actress, but a compassionate and grounded individual who left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Two services have been planned to celebrate her life and legacy. A memorial service will be held at the Glendale Lyceum in Glendale, Ohio, on August 16, 2025. In addition, a separate celebration of life will be held in Los Angeles to honour her remarkable contributions to the film and television industry.
As tributes continue to pour in, Kelley Mack is being remembered as a bright light gone too soon, an artist whose talent, courage, and humanity left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
