Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Tems, has melted hearts across social media after she rewarded a devoted fan, Odum Ifeoluwa, with a generous sum of ₦3 million for creating an extraordinary crochet portrait of her.
The touching moment began when Ifeoluwa, known on X as @If3oluwacreates, shared images of the detailed handmade artwork, which took her 70 hours and 8,925 stitches to complete. She explained that the piece was not only a tribute to Tems but also a celebration of her one-year journey as a crochet artist.
“I hope @temsbaby gets to see this coz I don’t have much followers on here, but after 8925 Stitches and 70 hours, I finished this crochet portrait of Tems. I made this to mark the 1yr anniversary of when I started crocheting. It’s also my first time doing tapestry. I love you Tems,” she wrote.
Much to her surprise, Tems came across the post and was completely blown away by the creativity and effort poured into the project. The ‘Free Mind’ singer wasted no time in expressing her admiration and eagerness to purchase the artwork.
“Yo this is unbelievable, You are incredible! I NEED IT RIGHT NOWWW. Can I buy it please?,” Tems commented.
Soon after, Ifeoluwa returned to the platform to share a screenshot of a ₦3 million alert sent by the singer as appreciation for her work. Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, she described the moment as the best day of her life.
“OMG this has to be the best day of my life. @temsbaby thank you so much. @yvonneonyanta you’re amazing. The rebel gang is the best community ever, thank you to everyone for your positive comments. Thank you so much,” she wrote in a follow-up post.
