Nollywood filmmaker and outspoken activist, Stanley Ajemba, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, has finally regained his freedom after spending a night in police detention at the Delta State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Asaba.
His arrest on Tuesday sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry. According to reports, the filmmaker was picked up following a defamation petition allegedly filed by fellow actress Queeneth Hilbert, sparking a storm of reactions from fans, colleagues, and several celebrities who took to social media demanding his release.
Inside sources revealed that Stanley was interrogated throughout the day as investigators sought clarity on the allegations leveled against him. His detention quickly became one of the top trending controversies online, with many accusing the authorities of intimidation and calling for due process.
By Wednesday evening, the filmmaker was released after extensive questioning. Supporters who had gathered outside the station celebrated his return.
Shortly after his release, Stanley shared a video on Instagram, visibly excited and relieved, as he announced his freedom to his followers. In the clip, he enthusiastically declared:
