The Sojinu Challenge has since gone viral and it does not just involve random Twitter and Instagram users, some of Nigeria’s well-known celebrities have participated in it.
The viral challenge was started by a popular Nigerian comedian, The Trench Boy.
So, what exactly is the Sojinu Challenge? Sojinu is a Lagos slang word that loosely translates to ‘minding your business’ or being unbothered, the challenge entails holding a handkerchief, and making a dismissive gesture while throwing the handkerchief with your hands in different directions.
The term ‘Sojinu’ commonly used in the streets of Lagos means ‘calm down’ or ‘take it easy’, which depict the aura of the challenge.
More recently, the popular music artist, Davido also took part in the challenge. Davido took to his verified Instagram page to share his take on the Sojinu Challenge while relaxing inside his private jet.
The “Timeless’ hitmaker was as eloquent as always and accompanied the challenge with funny gestures much to the amusement of his fans.
Davido captioned the video with, “Very expensive demure Sojinu @thetrenchboy,” meaning even when in a private jet, he is still calm and composed.
