Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, today met with the management of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) at Lagos House, Marina.
The meeting focused on addressing the persistent challenges faced by residents in obtaining their national identification.
According to a statement from the governor, discussions were held on ways to make the process of getting a National Identification Number (NIN) easier and faster for Lagosians.
The meeting was a step towards a new collaborative effort to solve the long-standing issues, which often include long queues, bureaucratic delays, and technical glitches.
Governor Sanwo-Olu affirmed his commitment to working with NIMC to “ease this burden for our people,” signaling that the state government will play an active role in resolving the issue. The partnership aims to streamline the process for the city’s large and rapidly growing population.
